About aterio.io
Aterio is a Vancouver-based startup that is building a data lake aggregating multiple data sources on the real estate market of the US to enable investors, developers, and city employees to make better decisions and solve the problem of affordability.
As you will work in a small company, your contributions will have a direct impact on the development of the company and you will be able to influence and also benefit from the growth of Aterio.
Reporting to the Chief of Data and Analytics, the Business Analyst is a key member of our small and growing company.
About the Role:
Over the course of each project, you will gather and analyze information, formulate, and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. You'll also present results, implement recommendations and in some cases, you will be asked to travel to your client site.
You Will
- Enhance and build new data pipelines in Google Cloud
- Responsible (along with the team) for the entire development process of the features you are working on, including design, testing, and releasing to production
- Be an active member of our data discovery teamworking on tasks as part of release sprints
You Have
- Experience with SQL;
- A drive to get things done in a highly collaborative, agile development environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp abstract concepts;
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- 3 years of business analysis experience
- Post-secondary education/certification in business-related or technical disciplines;
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment, with the ability to set and meet deadlines while working on multiple projects at a time;
Nice-to-Have
- Experience developing or operating cloud applications on data analytics
- Ability to travel occasionally to attend conferences and to work with partners, customers, and colleagues in other offices within the US.
- Experience with data pipelines, analytics, and modeling
