Job Description

Job description

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide sound technical leadership as we build an advanced B2B marketplace and commodity exchange platform for trading metals of African origin. You will communicate with employees, investors, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are the best in the B2B marketplace tech ecosystem.



We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.



Responsibilities


  • Help departments use technology profitably
  • Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
  • Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
  • Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy and coordinate the building of the B2B marketplace and commodity exchange platform
  • Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
  • Build quality assurance and data protection processes
  • Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
  • Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage



Qualifications


  • Strategic thinking
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning
  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Proven experience as a fullstack web developer, software engineer, CTO or similar role
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
