Job Description
About Our Client


Our client is hiring a Cost Accountant for a permanent position.


Responsibilities


  • Recording transactions, posting entries, preparing month-end close and internal financial reports
  • Bank and general ledger account reconciliations + analysis
  • Tracking project costs to budget and analyzing/ explain variances
  • Construction draws and funding requests
  • Reporting to the Controller and working closely with Project Managers, the Project Accountant is responsible for accounting, financial + operational reporting and analysis


Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role with the Construction, Development, Engineering, or Manufacturing sector
  • Accounting Degree or pursuing CPA would be an asset
  • Experience working on establishing and tracking annual budgets, and providing those reports to the Controller
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Look Ups) and any ERP experience
  • MUST have costing experience, they will be responsible for all project cost audits, as well as department budget reviews
