Aecon Construction and Materials Limited (“ACML”) is seeking a Quality Coordinator to join the group! The role, reporting directly to the Engineering & Quality Director, will support various projects across Ontario through a lens of quality conformance and administration.


What You’ll Do Here


  • Prepare quality auditing reports for all project sites
  • Responsible for the initial set-up of the project including: the development and submission of documents requiring review and approval; ensuring that current references are printed or electronically available (i.e .Codes of Construction, Quality Manual, Client Specifications etc).
  • Perform internal auditing .
  • Prepare yearly summary of project quality audit findings for review by the Director
  • Provide training to site team to avoid and resolve quality issues
  • Perform quality inspection reviews in acco rdance with the related codes and customer specifications. 
  • Maintain record of quality performance for all project sites.
  • Responsible for the review and auditing of all quality functions and duties as related to the activities performed under the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Preparation of Quality Checklists, Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Maintain quality documentation according to established manuals, programs, and procedures.
  • Develop continuous improvement opportunities for quality program
  • Provide training to project staff, suppliers, and subcontractors on QMS
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Attending client meetings related to Quality


What You Bring To The Team


  • Knowledge with procedure writing and formatting with flow charts and or flow lines .
  • 1 year’ experience in infrastructure as a minimum.
  • ISO 9001 Quality Control Internal Auditing Certification an asset.
  • Ability to liaise and form positive relationship with all levels of employees and management.
  • Construction industry (Concrete, Steel, Asphalt) knowledge and experience would be considered an asset.
  • BSc Engineering in Civil or CET education an asset.
  • Experience in an administrative or coordination role in the quality field.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Access, Power Point.
  • Above average computer skills utilizing MS office application.
