You’ll be able to work with and learn from a variety of colleagues, including other co-op students, new graduates, and experienced working professionals. In the past, we’ve had great success in keeping our co-op students past the end of their two terms and inviting them back to work with us once their degree is complete.

Our database houses extensive documentation regarding the U.S. healthcare system and landscape which is undergoing constant fluctuation due to market and government forces, such as the Affordable Care Act. This is an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making amongst our clients, which include start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.

What to expect:

In your first work term, you will undergo several weeks of training and receive tasks to get to know the database. By helping us maintain and expand our resources, you’ll get a feel for the work, environment, and team. This term is based heavily in developing and refining your skills in navigating and maintaining the database.

In your second term, you will continue to hone the database skills you started developing in term one. You may take on a leadership role through assisting with the training and mentoring of the incoming co-op student through leading training sessions in the areas you specialize in, helping revise training materials, and being a source of knowledge and support for the new co-op student while you are guided through this process by your co-op supervisor (Note: mentorship is dependent on the team you enter).

We’re looking for two highly motivated individuals with an interest in database maintenance and strong attention to detail to join our team as Junior Healthcare Document Analysts.

  • Written and spoken communication skills
  • Knowledge of which entities decide which services, procedures, and pharmaceuticals are allowed to be distributed to the public
  • Knowledge of US privatized & government healthcare system, including benefit types, Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial plans
  • Database maintenance and quality control experience
  • Leadership and mentoring skills in the second term by aiding in the training and support of a new co-op student

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remember large quantities of procedural information
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel and/or Google Docs and Sheets
  • Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects and ideas clearly in both written and spoken forms of English
  • Ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks for long periods of time

Responsibilities may include the following (all or a portion of these tasks may describe your responsibilities in this role):
