Job Description

reports to the Sous Chef and provides daily meal and baking service.

• SeasonalWith potential to contract extension

• Day/Evening/Night

The Camp Cook, Weekday/Weekend.

Room & board. Performance bonus available.

Necessary Skills and Experience: Skills / Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in comparable setting required.

• Prior experience preferred in a children’s summer camp kitchen/food service.

• Secondary School completion required.

• Culinary education qualifications or certification required

• Cooking/baking skills for large groups.

• Excellent teamwork skills.

• Cuisine specialties: Canadian, Italian, Mexican, Vegetarian, special diets, etc.

Job duties

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef

Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers

Oversee kitchen operations

Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

May set up and oversee buffets

May clean kitchen and work area

May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

Contract Information

Duration – 12 weeks Seasonal with possible contract extension

Pay Rate - $18.00 per hour

10 hours a day split shift 5 days a week
