:

The Banquet Manager reports to Event Manager at The Avenue Banquet Hall and is responsible for:

·Supervising all service staff during the set-up, execution and tear down of all events

·Execution & Operation of Events from beginning to end

·Maintain high quality of service standards required

·Foster a co-operative team spirit with and between culinary and catering staff

·Be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment

·Ensure that banquets are set up according to the details provided by the venue manager and standards of the venue

·To ensure all end of event protocols are followed.

·To ensure supply and equipment areas are clean and organized.


Qualifications:

Applicants should have previous management experience with preference given to a minimum one year Food & Beverage supervisory experience in a high volume banquet/catering facility

Proven strong leadership ability and motivational skills with ability to communicate with a professional business manner

Proven ability to organize and execute events effectively with an acute sense of attention to detail.

Sense of urgency

Highly motivate and self driven

Proficient in English verbal and written communication

Must have ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Demonstrated team player with proven success in relationship building

Smart Serve Certification is required
