THE ROLE

A controller opening leading the full-cycle accounting and month-end process for a fast-growing company.

- 40% Full-Cycle Accounting

- 30% Cashflow Management - 30% Consolidations

THE TASKS

Full Cycle Accounting

May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

- Recording transactions in the general ledger

- Classifying and summarizing transactions in the trial balance

- Preparing adjusting entries

- Recording and Managing Accounts receivable and Accounts payable

- Handling and Reconciliations of Payroll

- Preparing financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) - Closing the books at the end of the period

- Preparing year-end reports and tax returns.

THE EXPECTATIONS TIMELINE PREVIEW

By Month 1

• - Proficiency in the weekly cashflow reporting.
• - Baseline understanding of the year-end audit by assisting in a limited capacity.
• - Overview understanding of payroll, AR, AP process.

By Month 3

• Management and external investors.
• - Novice level understanding of business by interacting closely with operations, senior
• - Proficiency for review of bank reconciliations, adjusting GL entries, payroll, AP and AR. - Successful completion of at least one consolidated set of financial statements.

By Month 6

THE SKILL SET

- A designated accountant with at least 2 years of people management experience. - Exceptional commitment to deadlines.

- Intermediate Excel skills a minimum.

- ERP implementation experience an asset.
