A.T.McLaren Limited is a Hamilton, Ontario based surveying firm, which specializes in legal and engineering surveys. For 55 years we have and continue to provide diverse and challenging projects for a broad range of clients including property owners, builders, developers and Government Agencies throughout the Hamilton-Wentworth, Halton, Niagara Regions, and Wellington area. Our team consists of 26 driven professionals ranging from Ontario Land Surveyors, CAD Technicians, Field, and Administrative staff.

We are currently seeking a CAD Technologist/ Draftsperson who will be responsible for calculating and drafting survey plans with precision and accuracy. The successful candidate will approach each project meticulously, while eager to apply their specialized drafting and legal survey plan knowledge to projects.

The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with legal reference plans, site and grading plans, topographic and boundary surveys, real property reports, subdivisions, and various types of condominiums.

Responsibilities:

• The ability to prepare plans based on raw data collected from the field or from existing files.
• Fluent in English.
• Familiarity with requirements of provincial and municipal guidelines.
• Highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD and coordinate geometry.
• 3+ years of experience within the legal land surveying, planning or civil engineering industry.
• Experience using MS Excel, Outlook and Word.

Required Education:

A university degree or college diploma in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
