Computer Aided Design Technician

The Designer's main duties include creating, revising, and coordinating various design documents for building envelope/mid-rise construction using AutoCAD. Interpreting zoning by-laws, developing site typologies, and working in collaboration with other Design Team members.
Create, modify, and revise architectural floor plans using AutoCAD
Develop and coordinate elevations from existing floor plans
Review zoning and create product typologies
Collaborate with other Designers and Construction Project Managers to achieve fluency within each project
Schedule and manage workload to meet desired deadlines
Prepare architectural design and documents including drawings and specifications
Qualification
Minimum of 3+ years of working experience in architectural design and residential construction.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; Sketch-up Modeling is an asset.
Previous experience with building (industrial, commercial and temp) projects is a strong asset.
Understanding and working knowledge of Ontario Building Codes and regulations
Knowledge of the appropriate use of building systems, materials, and technologies.
Excellent knowledge of detailing, construction documents, consultant coordination and past experience with contract administration phase of projects.
Ability to manage time, deadlines, deliverables and budgets on multiple tasks concurrently.
