Reporting to the Director of Communications & Corporate Affairs, as the Communications & Social Impact Project Lead, you will define and write all copy for internal and external corporate Communications. You will also be responsible for implementing and executing Social Impact initiatives, such as Sustainability, D&I, and Corporate Social Responsibility.


Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To


Communications


  • Support head office events related to sustainability, D&I, social responsibility, and other initiatives as needed. Support the internal newsletter & activity team with concepting and executing initiatives.
  • Be the expert in Ardene’s corporate tone of voice, guiding other teams on their use and ensuring it is well defined and always up to date.
  • Occasionally assist the Marketing Copy team as needed for company newsletters, product packaging, and proofreading.
  • Define and write copy for all corporate communications, including memos, newsletters, internal blogs, corporate website, company socials and more.
  • Gather content and data from multiple sources to develop communications for various initiatives including leadership messages, presentations, information booklets, town halls, newsletters, videos, and corporate social media.
  • Maintain a calendar of events and Communications plans.
  • Attend and document events & initiatives for visibility (take photos, notes for later social posts, etc.).
  • In partnership with HR, support the Director of Communications & Corporate Affairs with all projects related to Employer Branding.
  • Build presentation decks in line with company branding for high-level executives and company leadership. Write scripts and keynote presentation outlines for corporate events.
  • Other writing tasks as assigned, including but not limited to, press releases, external correspondence, and more.


Social Impact Projects


  • Work with key partners to ensure that D&I and Sustainability continue to be embedded in Ardene’s culture from end to end.
  • Liaise with Ardene’s Sustainability Ambassadors in each department to document and report on company progress. Responsible for the production of Ardene’s annual ESG Report.
  • Responsible for project ideation and bringing creative new ideas to the table, and for turning your vision into reality.
  • Ensure Ardene’s social impact information is up to date and consistent across its channels, such as on Ardene’s corporate website.
  • Successfully deliver strategic social impact reporting (planning, implementing, analyzing, documenting, communicating, and follow-up) with multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and build partnerships and trainings related to Social Impact, with an emphasis on Sustainability and D&I.
  • Contribute to the development of Ardene’s community life through the launch & management of events and special interest groups such as Ardene Clubs and others.
  • In collaboration with related teams, help define a strategy to increase the scope and visibility of Ardene’s Social Impact initiatives companywide.


What You’ll Need


  • Comfort communicating with employees at various levels, including senior leadership.
  • University degree or equivalent experience in communications studies, media, journalism, or marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Canva or equivalent. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. An eye for infographics and video is a very big plus.
  • Solid bilingualism. Exceptional ability to communicate, both written and oral, in French and English. We are a Quebec-based company, but our operations are international.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Critical thinking and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in fashion/lifestyle is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Communications, HR, Corporate Affairs, or Social Impact.
  • Resourcefulness, autonomy, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team spirit.
