Job Description

As a Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Azure, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides technical assistance. Your primary focus will be troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Azure cloud services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of customer environments. You will also collaborate with other teams, including engineering and operations, to address complex problems and improve the Azure service offerings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, providing technical assistance and support via various communication channels (phone, email, chat, etc.).
  2. Investigate and troubleshoot customer-reported issues related to Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, databases, and identity and access management.
  3. Analyze logs, system metrics, and other relevant data to identify root causes of customer issues and provide appropriate resolutions or workarounds.
  4. Document customer interactions, including details of reported issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, in a clear and concise manner.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering and operations, to escalate and resolve complex technical issues and drive product improvements.
  6. Stay updated on the latest Azure features, updates, and best practices, and share this knowledge with customers to help them optimize their Azure deployments.
  7. Provide proactive guidance and recommendations to customers on Azure architecture, performance optimization, security, and cost management.
  8. Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and tools.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and Azure Active Directory.
  3. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues in a technical support or similar role.
  4. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools.
  5. Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think logically and provide effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  9. Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus
