Cloud Engineer - Azure, Aks, Terraform (Contract)

Advotek Recruitment is sourcing a Senior Azure Cloud engineer for a 3-6 month contract with the possibility of an extension to work on a client project in Azure Cloud for our trusted client. The client, a cloud engineering and DevOps professional and managed services provider serving customers across North America, helps customers to grow their businesses by leveraging the technologies cloud. They help customers to hit milestones and eliminate the friction of dealing with cloud infrastructure deployment offering solutions architecture, cloud-native development & general cloud consultation using IaC tools like Terraform, Pulumi & helm, Kubernetes, and containerization.

About the role:

Our client is offering a market hourly rate, a 100% remote work, and flexible hours (EST timezone)

As a Senior Azure Cloud engineer (Contract) you will work in an environment that includes: Windows containers in an AKS, Production web applications deployed to multiple environments using Azure DevOps, and Windows servers & Managed SQL deployed with terraform.

What you will bring:

• Experience with Azure networking and hub and spoke network configuration.
• Deploying Azure resources using IaC, preferably Terraform.
• Experience implementing RBAC strategies in new environments.
• Experience with migration of IIS web applications to new redundant infrastructure.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills. We will need to clearly and completely document our work.
• Comfortable operating under minimal direction and working directly with clients.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service running windows containers.
• Experience with Azure centralized logging, dashboarding, and alerting configuration.

Nice to have:

• Experience implementing .NET application tracing and monitoring using Datadog.
• Familiar with SOC2 standards and ability to configure an environment to meet controls.
• Azure DevOps CI/CD deployment & secrets management.
• Powershell scripting experience.
• Git and Git workflow experience
• MS SQL configuration, including log shipping to hot spare.
