RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC


The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).


Position Summary


The Smart Hospital Project aims to transform neonatal and pediatric care at the Montreal Children’s Hospital aims to bring the hospital to the forefront of the ever-growing information age by advancing it toward a wireless "Smart Hospital”. The Research Administrative Assistant will join the Smart Hospital Team and report to the Principal Investigator under the supervision of the Project Director.


General Duties


Under The Direction Of The Project Director, The Clinical Research Clerk Will Be Expected To Perform The Following


The Clinical Research Clerk will collaborate investigators and staff of the Smart Hospital Project team to support clinical studies related to the Smart Hospital Project. Responsibilities generally and mainly include administrative tasks and supervised research-related tasks.


  • Assist with follow up of data queries and resolution under supervision of research team members,
  • Drafts, types, prepares and transmits various correspondences and reports and maintains agendas,
  • Responsible for administrative functions such as photocopying, printing, faxing, courier services, creates and maintains filing system, etc.,
  • Assist with data entry under supervision of research team members,
  • Organizes meetings, takes minutes and provides summary of meetings,
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or delegate.
  • Assist in the preparation of study documents under supervision of research team members,
  • Assists as required in manuscript and grant application submissions under supervision of research team members,

Education / Experience


Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)


Field of Study: Office Systems Technology or related field


Other education considered as an asset: Science, Life Sciences, Pure and Applied, Computer Science or related.


Work Experience: 1– 2 years

  • Excellent French and English, spoken and written,


Additional Information


Status: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)


Pay Scale:$33,287.80 - $49,922.60. Commensurate with education and work experience.


Work Shift: Monday to Friday
