Shift

8 hrs / 5 hrs

Expected Average Number of Hours 15-20 hours bi weekly ( not a guarantee of hours )

This position will work a variety of shifts, including weekends to perform a variety of clerical functions including answering phones, menu processing, staff scheduling and completion of payroll information. This position requires excellent customer service skills and deals with people on a consistent basis. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
• Must have working knowledge of Med Dietary software, CBord and Acute Care therapeutic diets
• Excellent keyboarding skills required
• Must have working knowledge of staff scheduling/payroll module and OE required.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology required
• Successful completion of secondary school required
• Knowledgeable and efficient with Meditech computer system required
• Recent experience as a Clerk in a fast paced environment required
• Previous experience in a hospital environment an asset
