We are currently looking for a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's rapidly growing team in Saint John! Our client is a leading provider of professional engineering consulting services. Hours: Monday to Friday-Days

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000

Start Date: August 30, 2023

Responsibilities

• Interface with Geotechnical and Civil leads to schedule engineering technician field time and work products.
• Complete technical document reviews and technical drawings prepared by the team and provide feedback based on your expertise.
• Provide oversight on soils mechanics laboratory.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret geotechnical data for building foundations, roads and other engineered structures including bearing capacity, settlement, and erosion. Conduct slope stability analysis.
• Provide investigation design, cost estimates, scope-of-work, contracts, and coordination for geotechnical investigations and soils laboratory analysis.
• Assisting with various field activities, including drilling, data analysis, test pitting, and inspections and testing services on construction projects.
• Providing geotechnical engineering support for subsurface investigations and geotechnical analysis, design and quality control.
• Provide engineering design and support from concept to construction on geotechnical projects within the Civil Infrastructure, Energy, and Water Resources.
• Provide oversight of Engineering Technician's work related to inspections of walls, roads, etc.

Requirements

• University graduate with a Degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering
