Job Description

Job Summary:
The Child and Youth Worker will provide support in our community-based treatment residences and conduct one-on-one support with individual children, as well as group work. You will also be a contributing member of our multi-disciplinary teams. This position is covered by the Communications Workers of America, Local 30248.
Qualifications
  • Candidates with demonstrated experience implementing the Collaborative Problem-Solving model will be given special consideration
  • Satisfactory current and local Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Current and valid First Aid/CPR Level C Certificate
  • Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a mental health setting
  • Child and Youth Worker Diploma or equivalent post-secondary education
Kinark Child and Family Services conditions of employment include but are not limited to successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, completed Pre-Employment Medical certificate, and proof of full vaccination. Fully vaccinated is defined as having received all required doses of a World Health Organization Approved COVID-19 Vaccine and 14 days have passed since last dose. Proof of vaccination for each vaccine dose received is required.
