Job Overview
Working under minimal supervision, this job contributes to Wawanesa’s success by supporting project teams with processes, tools, methodologies, financial tracking and reporting for Change Initiatives, ensuring conformance, transparency, and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities

• Monitors adherence to approved departmental processes, methodologies, tools, and documentation.
• Ensures adherence to change initiative control processes and audit requirements throughout the initiative lifecycle.
• Processes invoices on monthly basis and reconciles to the general ledger and dashboard reports.
• Tracks status and progress of the initiatives and escalate key observations as required.
• Monitors change initiative cost baselines to identify cost overruns.
• Provides input to and assists in continuous improvements activities for the IS Operational Financial Management team.
• Supports teams in financial planning, tracking, analysis, forecasting, and reporting of change initiatives.
• Performs ad-hoc project analysis and support.
• Administers and maintains team and Change Initiative SharePoint sites, files and tracks documentation including project artifacts and vendor contracts.
• Prepares change initiative cost reports and variance analysis, reconciles against forecasts and schedules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Compiles materials for reports and presentations for various stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Proven track record with continuous learning.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Power BI and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to plan and organize tasks, monitor performance, and keep work on track.
• Knowledge and experience in Property & Casualty Insurance industry is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail conducting reviews of information and work products carefully and comprehensively.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, analytical and customer service skills.
• Post-secondary education from a recognized college or university with an accounting designation, or a combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of experience performing change initiative or project administration and support.
