We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our clients. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting their well-being, and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobility Assistance: Support clients in moving around, transferring, and using mobility aids, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Respect and Empathy: Treat clients with kindness, respect, and empathy, acknowledging their individual needs and preferences.
• Collaborative Approach: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and team members to ensure integrated care for clients.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity and respecting their privacy.
• Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living space.
• Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients, fostering a warm and supportive environment.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
• Emotional Support: Provide emotional encouragement and comfort to clients during difficult times and promote their mental well-being.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care activities, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions.
• Safety Measures: Follow proper safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure a secure environment for clients.
• Medication Management: Administer medications as per the prescribed schedule and document all medication-related activities accurately.

Requirements

• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including standing, lifting, and assisting with clients' mobility.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Experience: Prior experience as a Care Assistant or in a related role is preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional healthcare-related certifications or training are advantageous.
• Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
• Compassionate Nature: Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience towards clients, with a genuine desire to provide excellent care.
• First Aid and CPR Certification: Possession of valid First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
