Campground Office Attendant
Role Summary
Long Beach Golf Course and Campground (LBGC) is looking for a full-time Campground office attendant. Answering to the campground manager and general manager this position comes with the possibility of staff accommodation located on property. This position is sought to be filled as soon as possible
Located a few minutes walk from Long Beach and Tofino’s airport this position is ideal for people looking for employment and accommodation while experiencing Tofino for the summer season.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- Sell firewood, ice, and other campground store items.
- Create and manage bookings for campground customers.
- Reporting any concerning behaviour of campground guests to management.
- Maintain and manage inventory.
- Follow and act in accordance with the LBGC’s code of conduct.
- Perform cash outs at end of each day.
- Answer guest phone calls and respond to questions and phone messages.
- Informing guests about any current fire bans.
- Read and respond to emails.
- Cleaning of campground amenities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be over the age of 19 and have a valid drivers license. Completion of British Columbia’s “bear awareness” certificates are considered an asset, but not mandatory. Should applicants not have these certificates and are hired for the position LBGC will pay for the mentioned courses. Applicants with previous work in a customer service and/or an office environment will be more seriously considered.

- Punctual and able to complete tasks in a reasonable time
- Typing speed of 40 words/minute minimum.
- Attention to detail.
- Customer service mindset.
- Effective communicator.
- Phone etiquette and high level of professionalism.
- Team player who can collaborate with co-workers to deliver best service possible.
- Able to multitask jobs and keep an organised, neat and clean work space.
- Able to keep composed and professional in high stress situations.
Wage and work hours
Work shifts are 8 hours a day with a wage varying on staff accommodation needs. Work days of the week will be determined at a future date. This job will be starting in as soon as possible.
