Job Description

Aston Carter's client is looking to add a Buyer to their procurement team. This role is ideal for someone who has 2 years of purchasing experience in a Manufacturing environment.

One of our large manufacturing clients is looking for a buyer to join their supply chain team that is rapidly expanding across North America. In this position, the buyer would start learning the Acumatica software system and purchasing products. They will also be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of purchases, fostering strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues, working with quality assurance teams to ensure all purchased materials meet the company's quality standard, and developing contingency plans for potential supply disruptions.

Other day-to-day responsibilities:

- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing activities

- Identify potential supply chain risks and work to mitigate them

- Ensure purchasing activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations

- Help to manage stock levels and lead times to minimize inventory costs and prevent stock outs or overstock situations

- Work closely with inventory control and production planning teams to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

- Minimum 2 years experience in procurement - as a buyer/purchaser

- Experience with an ERP System (e.g: SAP, Acumatica, Dynamics Nav)

- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with a diverse group of employees

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience in manufacturing and purchasing electronic and mechanical products
