What You Will Do
  • Assist with energy conservation studies and/or engagements / committees as assigned to advise other EC teams on impacts and implications of learnings and developments.
  • Provide strategic support to program teams as assigned relating to the design, planning, and implementation of Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Affordable Housing (including Indigenous) and New Construction EC programs.
  • Assist with the implementation of specific governance / process guidelines and ensure enforcement to regulate high importance EC activities
  • Assist with providing policy / strategic support towards the submission of all Energy Conservation related OEB filings including drafting regulatory filing materials.
  • Support efforts for tracking commitments, action items and initiatives for the Energy Conservation departments.
  • Assist with project management towards ensuring on time / on budget delivery of specified projects.
  • Be accountable for researching EC Industry best practices, trends and policy while maintaining relevant contacts at other utilities for information sharing purposes.
  • Assist in research efforts in support of both Energy Conservation policy and planning and summarize, interpret, and provide analysis regarding specific regulatory theory, precedents and trends and potential financial impacts.
Who You Are
You have the following education and experience:
  • Related university degree (preferred Economics, Business, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, or related field).
  • Demonstrated experience/skills in Excel, Power BI, or other database tools.
  • For candidates who do not possess University degree, an additional 3 years of related
  • Ability to summarize and synthesize sophisticated material to identify issues and develop business solutions.
  • Experience working in a supporting role and influencing without authority.
  • 2+ years of experience in energy/energy conservation and the policy and legislative
  • Strong project management, analytical, research and informative thinking skills.
  • Positive relationship building, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Framework for energy in the province.
  • Direct Policy/Regulatory/Evaluation/Marketing related job experience in Demand Side Management (DSM) would be an asset.
