Business Analyst Jobs

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join one of our client's teams. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing data files, conducting reconciliations, and performing various business analysis activities in collaboration with our business-facing partners and stakeholders. Your insights and reports will enable informed, evidence-based operational and strategic decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements from business stakeholders through requirements gathering sessions, producing useful reports from critical information gathered.
• Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management, acting as the liaison between business users and developers.
• Design business systems or IT systems by understanding end-to-end business requirements.
• Plan, groom, and maintain the requirements backlog.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and take ownership of tasks, deliverables, and documentation.
• Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
• Master strategic business process modeling, traceability, and quality management techniques.
• Manage competing resources and priorities.
• Conduct cost/benefit analysis for new processes and systems.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
• Test deliverables produced by the development team.
• Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Organize and map requirements to existing IT components, focusing on creating and improving documentation.
• Analyze, manage, and communicate requirements effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

• 4-6 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Strong business acumen related to Retail/Payments/Banking is an asset.
• Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Retail background is an asset but not mandatory.
• Experience with modeling techniques and methods.
• Proficiency in wireframing.
• Ability to analyze data and provide business recommendations based on trends and opportunities.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and way of working.
• Understanding of systems engineering concepts.
• Previous experience with JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
• Experience in data analytics and reporting tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Access.

Education

• Degree/ Diploma in related field

Nice-to-Haves

• PMP and/or CBAP certification is an asset.
