Our experienced and collaborative BC Geomatics team is looking for a talented British Columbia Land Surveyor to act as a Project Manager anywhere in British Columbia. The primary purpose of this role is for client service while maintaining and improving the work environment within the GeoVerra Team.  This position has significant impact with external clients and internal team members, and therefore needs to be connected and live out the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values through actions and results.


This position is also open to applicants with the BCLS designations currently residing in other provinces.


What you will do:


  • Manage client expectations, scope creep and scope changes through active communication.
  • Facilitate an environment of high performance. Mentor and support the development of self and the project team members.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites.
  • Monitor project and team performance. Forecast project outcomes and adjust where necessary to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to ensure timely flow of information, actions, deliverables, timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and resolve client, project and/or team issues.
  • Ensure Quality, safety, legislation and industry standards are met or exceeded.
  • Lead project teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget.


What you will bring:


  • British Columbia Land Surveyor or Land Surveyor in Training (BCLS or LSIT).
  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, B.Sc. in Geomatics.
  • 3+ years of previous project management experience with demonstrated success in managing: Client Expectations, Scope, Budget / Forecast, Schedule, and Quality.

  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills while working to project deadlines.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
