This position is primarily responsible for bookkeeping; payroll calculations; assisting with the preparation of financial statements; month-end review; WSIB, HST return and payroll deduction calculations; assist supervising new staffs; issue ROE report; personal and corporate tax returns; communicating with clients. Other general secretary and office works may be included.
Job Responsibilities
· Maintain records of financial transactions by accurately establishing accounts and making general entries.
· Prepare bank reconciliations and report financial results to supervisor.
· Prepare financial reports by analyzing account information as needed.
· Calculate payrolls and verify information.
· Calculate and file WSIB, HST return and payroll deduction on time.
· Assist supervising new staff to familiar with job’s duties and accounting software.
· Review month-end financial report and send report to client.
· Ensure accuracy and legal compliance of employee earnings and deductions.
· Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
· Assist supervisor for year-end preparations.
· Comply with government and local legal requirements by studying requirements.
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· General office duties such as scanning, telephones and greeting clients.
· Issue ROE reports.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
· Working experience: 2+ years
· Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and taxation
· Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
· Motivated individual with excellent organizational skills, high level of integrity and energy
· Advanced skill in Word, Excel, Outlook, Cantax and QuickBooks
· Fluent English speaking/reading/writing
. MUST know how to use CLIO software/Demonstrate an exceptional ability to integrate software with Quick Books.
