Biomedical Technician Jobs

We are looking for a dynamic biomedical technician to join the team. In this role, you'll be in charge

of overseeing care and use of all biomedical equipment and processes for the collection and

cryo-preservation of bovine semen.

To ensure success as a biomedical technician, you should display an aptitude for biomedical technology

in veterinary field and the ability to operate machinery efficiently.

Biomedical Technician Responsibilities:

1. Collection, Testing and cryo-preservation of bovine semen samples.

2. Performing routine maintenance checks and calibration on biomedical equipment.

3. Installing new biomedical equipment and adjusting the device according to medical

specifications.

4. Training staff members to operate and care for equipment with physical demonstrations and

educational presentations.

5. Updating the inventory.

6. Repairing/arranging repairs of faulty machinery on a routine basis and tending to emergency

repairs as needed.

7. Keeping a digital record of activities/test results etc.

8. Ensuring that all equipment meets company standards of safety and quality, and is in

compliance with relevant laws.

Biomedical Technician Requirements:

1. A bachelor's degree in biomedical technology, or a similar field.

2. A minimum of 2 years experience as a biomedical technician in the cattle industry

3. Exceptional knowledge uses of biomedical equipment and cryo-preservation of bovine semen.

4. Solid technical skills and the ability to repair machinery with meticulous attention to detail.

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Strong communication skills.

7. Ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.
