Leader Name: SVP, EFS Strategy & Growth


As ATB's next Associate Vice President, EFS Advice & Team Member Experience, you will create a winning client and team member experience for Everyday Financial Services (EFS). EFS is the forefront of ATB's brand through our more than 280 branches, agencies, client care or entrepreneur centers distributed throughout Alberta along with our digital and online systems.


In delivering on this mandate, you will lead a team in service of defining and designing how EFS can not only meet, but strategically differentiate, on client advice and team member enablement. You will connect the evolving expectations of our clients with the design of team member learning systems and accelerate the capabilities of our workforce to deliver on our client-centric strategy. This role is key in driving world class retail and small business banking talent in an ever changing digital/physical ecosystem.


Working across the business unit and ATB, you will accelerate our client-facing roles with capacity to deliver on our client differentiation strategy. You will be accountable for the ongoing development of an integrated enablement and practice management system for EFS that includes onboarding, training, learning systems, development, and coaching. You will also have accountability for the coordination and implementation of EFS' Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) strategy.


The Associate Vice President reports into the SVP, EFS Strategy & Growth and is an acting member of the business unit's senior leadership team, with a main focus to provide strategic and operational leadership that ensures team members are delivering on our differentiated value proposition. You will also collaborate with the business unit's Market Vice Presidents, Operations & Enablement team, and hold key relationships with our People, Culture, Brand and Communications (PCBC) team.


Accountabilities
  • Build a learning model to complement the workforce of the future body of work and ensure forward-oriented strategies and objectives and aligned to iterative and scalable learning programs over time.
  • Develop and grow the domain skills of leadership across the business unit.
  • Lead a team that innovates team member experience while accelerating digital adoption
  • Oversee and influence the implementation of enterprise talent infrastructure into EFS, from a technology and strategic framework perspective including supporting internal and external talent onboarding, development and growth.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the model for effective change management and cultural adoption process of our initiatives that focus and differentiate the client experience
  • Curate and source meaningful learning content that effectively supports team members in delivering on near and long term business goals while creating an ecosystem model that supports career development and growth within ATB.
  • Ensure continual investment in understanding the connection between a client's experience through research and data analysis to implement programs based on best practice into team member learning systems.
  • Lead a team that will design, prioritize, sequence and implement team member learning and development strategies, programs and tools that leverage our current offerings while anticipating future needs (e.g. omni channel strategy, digital adoption) to differentiate ATB.
  • Collaborate with PCBC and other stakeholders to integrate DIB into EFS's culture and operations.
  • Bring design and facilitation expertise to support the business unit client experience initiatives that are directly supported and delivered through team members.
  • Lead a team to develop and deliver on programs to ensure EFS's DIB strategy, policies and practices are consistent with the enterprise.
  • Develop, validate, implement, review and revise a long-term plan for team practice management, mentorship and coaching.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of a framework for continuous development in the EFS team member journey - from onboarding, training, development, coaching and ongoing career development for team members and EFS leaders.
  • Plan and execute on the enterprise DIB strategy that aligns to the needs of EFS objectives, including financial literacy programs and removing barriers of access to employment.
  • Collaborate with People, Culture, Brand and Communications (PCBC) and other stakeholders to identify talent needs to ensure ATB's advice and team member programs align with EFS objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of metrics to measure the effectiveness of the EFS DIB execution strategy.
  • Identify and implement programs to improve EFS diversity, inclusion and belonging practices.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to build and implement programs to manage, develop and retain EFS team members.


Requirements


Experience


  • A post-secondary degree in business, human resources or related post secondary education
  • Experience in the design and delivery of workforce and practice management enablement
  • A minimum of 15 years related experience in learning design, workforce design, and people development including at least 10 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of leading through a growth agenda
  • Experience in human capital strategy development with a focus in DIB
  • Experience in and commitment to leading a client centric culture
  • Related Graduate level degree (MBA) would be considered an asset
  • Experience in leading service functions within a business management organization
  • Financial services industry experience would be considered an asset
