Job Summary And Requirements
This is a full-time, permanent position working 75 hours biweekly. The core working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
The Hearing Services Unit provides diagnostic audiological evaluations, hearing screenings, hearing aid evaluation and dispensing, hearing aid repairs, and assistive listening devices to the general public (children and adults).
Reporting to the Manager, Hearing Services, this position performs a range of technical and administrative support duties including reception duties. With a strong customer service focus, this position provides information and education to clients on hearing aids and accessories and troubleshoots complaints and repairs. The position will also perform reception duties, including scheduling and managing appointments, perform accounts payable and receivable, and records management functions.

- Experience using a variety of computer programs, including database programs and the full suite of Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience performing administrative and financial support duties.
- Experience working in an audiological environment or other medical environments providing assistance to clients regarding the use and repair of hearing aids or other medical devices.

Conditions of Employment:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence or equivalent
- RMCP Vulnerable Sector Check Clearance
- Ability to work with, and support, clients with hearing impairments.
- Ability to work with sometimes difficult or highly emotional clients.
