Position Title: Associate Registrar, New Student Enrolment
Status: Full-Time Administration
Hours: 37.5 hours per week ( To be scheduled on-site and remotely anytime between Monday-Friday , 8:30am-5:0 0pm) * Hours are subject to change based on operational requirements and on-call or weekend availability may be required .

What You Will Do
Under the direction of the Deputy Registrar, Enrolment Services, the Associate Registrar, New Student Enrolment provides strategic direction, leadership, and oversight for the ongoing development and assessment of initiatives and processes, as well as related policies, in the New Student Enrolment portfolio for both domestic and international students.
This position works closely with the Office of Registrar leadership team and the Academic Faculties in the development and adjustment of targets and analysis of new student enrolment trends to achieve Humber’s enrolment objectives .
The Associate Registrar, New Student Enrolment is the subject matter expert on related college-wide policies and processes and is accountable for identifying and developing new policies as required .
This position plays both a proactive and a consultative role to ensure the enrolment of new students are at optimum levels. It contributes to the Office of the Registrar objectives and the College’s strategic plan.

What You Bring To The Role
Education:  The suc cessful candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Business , Education, Marketing/Communications, or at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Business , Education, Marketing/Communications.
Experience And Skills
  • Experience with metrics and predictive modeling, knowledge in the use of analytical data and the ability to provide accurate analysis and findings
  • Specialized knowledge of higher education business technology applications (student information systems, preferably Banner) .
  • Effective communication skills (including exceptional presentation skills) and ability to act decisively and exercise initiative and judgment on a wide range of issues; self-directed and forward-thinking .
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian/Ontario secondary school systems, curriculum, graduation requirements and equivalencies and i n-depth knowledge of applicable international student and Canadian immigration practices/polices and legislation; federal citizenship and immigration regulations (IRCC), the Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), provincial ministry (MCU) policies related to international students and post-secondary admission, tuition fee and program funding .
  • Creative problem-solving skills, negotiation and mediation skills, along with proven ability to develop policies, procedures, and processes and training that enhance client services .
  • Extensive knowledge of education al structures and registrarial functions in a post-secondary institution, including experience with enrolment planning change management strategies .
  • Financial management experience (budget) and ability to develop and recommend creative solutions to address fiscal pressures.
  • Experience with human resources management and development, including talent acquisition, development, mentoring/coaching, performance evaluations, professional development and succession planning, etc.
  • Sound interpretative understanding of relevant acts, standards, collective agreements and legislation, policies/procedures, guidelines and practices used in the College to provide direction as it relates to the Office of the Registrar .
  • 5-9 years of successful and progressive professional leadership experience in post-secondary education, including a minimum of 5 years in the enrolment management function (specifically, student recruitment, admissions, or records and registration) and in a leadership capacity.
  • Exceptional knowledge of, and experience with issues, emerging trends, and legislation affecting post-secondary institutions in enrolment management and portfolio areas (domestic and international admissions).
  • S trong leadership capabiliti es including, managerial, strategic planning , organizational cap acity, decision making, change management, and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, college management and staff, and c olleagues at other institutions; this includes management experience with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and empower diverse teams, prepare work plans, establish meaningful priorities and maintain a high quality of service and standards .
  • Proficient with current office applications (Microsoft Office), awareness of third-party systems and relevant databases (OCAS), and knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Detailed knowledge of Humber’s academic program offerings, policies, procedures and services, and experience in a unionized, post-secondary environment would be considered an asset.
