Associate Advisor Jobs

First & Main Financial Services Inc. is growing and has a new opportunity for an Associate Advisor in our Airdrie, AB office. We are looking for a career-minded individual who is focused on being part of the growth of a thriving financial firm and wants uncapped potential.

You will utilize current leads/ referrals and develop new ones to establish clients and provide the necessary insurance products to start. With the potential to move in to servicing investment clients as well (portfolio management, investment advice, financial planning). We offer various insurance services, and our goal is to find the best policies for each client. Life insurance, Critical illness, disability insurance, travel insurance, health and dental, as well as group benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Answer questions related to insurance coverage
• Gain knowledge of other carriers for options if declined by Sun Life Financial (our alliance)
• Help clients complete all paperwork properly (some administrative assistance will be provided)
• Service incoming insurance leads – meet with clients to review options, complete a needs analysis and educate on available options
• Obtain underwriting approval by completing the application for coverage
• Develop new leads and schedule appointments with clients
• Determine the specific needs of particular clients by researching current coverage and available options

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
• High school diploma required, ideally post-secondary
• LLQP is required
• Organized, self-motivated, and proactive in problem-solving
• Strong communication skills
• Other financial services designations a huge benefit
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Ideally, 2 years sales experience in any industry
• Ideally, well-versed in client CRMs
• Drive to succeed, self-starter.

Job Type: Full-time - 40 per week

Salary type:

• Base, plus great commission. Experience dependent.

Work Location: Airdrie office, work from home, on the road. But be Alberta based.
