Wealth Associate

What is the opportunity?

As an integral member of a successful and growing private-client discretionary wealth management team, your role as an Wealth Associate is to deliver ongoing support for the Investment Advisor by preparing high value customized advice and wealth management strategies to High Net-Worth

What will you do?

• Request information and documentation from clients & external parties in order to prepare financial plans. Liaise with various departments for planning execution, where necessary.
• Enhance the client relationship through executing the investment and wealth strategies of the PM as well as engaging financial planning and other wealth management resources of the team and RBC DS more broadly
• Maintain ongoing tax efficient investment strategy by preparing periodic portfolio investment rebalancing proposals, to be executed by the team
• Utilize contact management system for daily task management
• Support the Investment Advisors in the preparation of client reviews and presentations
• Update the team’s communication channels, including websites & email templates
• Responsible for the professional servicing of incoming inquiries from clients, advisors, and other internal and external partners, as they pertain to financial planning
• Prepare comprehensive financial plans or projections that meet client’s specific needs in the areas of financial, investment, retirement, insurance and risk management planning
• Personalize each financial plan to provide expert knowledge around issues affecting clients, such as: holding companies, pensions, tax & estate planning, gift and charitable planning, etc.
• Effective client communications (written and verbal), by phone, e-mail, and in-person

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

• Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
• High level of time management and organization skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in the securities industry is an asset
• Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
