The Team:


Our Mortgages team is a group of high performers working hard to create and deliver exceptional mortgage experiences to all Canadians. As part of our growing team, you’ll work closely with our mortgage coordinators, specialists, and Underwriters to ensure that we find the most effective solutions for our clients. The Role:


As a Mortgage Associate with an entrepreneurial sales spirit and an intense desire to drive results, you’ll be responsible for our mortgage sales funnel from mortgage lead through to funded mortgage. You will also work closely with the rest of our Mortgages team to ensure clients can seamlessly move through the mortgage process. In this role, you’ll play an integral part in enabling Neo to improve our market position and deliver revenue through the promotion of our mortgage products and services to potential clients.


What you'll be doing:


  • Remain current on the latest industry trends to secure a competitive advantage
  • Act as the first point of contact for all potential new clients; walking them through the Neo mortgage process as well as providing recommendations based on their unique situations
  • Package completed mortgage applications and submit to our underwriting team
  • As an ambassador of Neo, execute consistent brand messages through repeatable and measurable process touches that will continually engage, promote, service, and solicit new business leads and cross-sell opportunities
  • Build a thorough knowledge and understanding of Neo’s mortgage products and services as well as assessing local competition and market opportunities
  • Handle incoming calls regarding early renewals, maturing accounts and discharge requests
  • Handle multiple leads simultaneously while creating and maintaining relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their mortgage needs
  • Convert mortgage leads into applications through calling potential clients to discuss Neo’s mortgage products and opportunities available


Who we're looking for:


  • Experience achieving sales quotas, with a strong internal desire to meet and exceed achievable targets
  • Experience as a mortgage broker or in mortgage sales at another lender is an asset
  • 3-5+ years experience in a customer facing role
  • You bring strong customer service skills with an ability to build trust and establish rapport quickly
  • Experience in financial services or with financial products is an asset
  • You’re a high-achiever with a desire to drive results in a startup environment
  • You are a fast learner and can adapt to new processes in a quickly changing and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Experience managing full cycle sales
  • You have strong organizational and time management skills and are always one step ahead
  • You have a passion for growth and excellence, strive to deliver the highest quality results
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an acute attention to detail
