Assistant Archaeologist Jobs

Circle CRM Group Inc. is a cultural resource management company specializing in archaeology and heritage / historic resource consulting services across different provinces in Canada. We provide services in Alberta and British Columbia, with service centres in Calgary and Edmonton, as well as a seasonal office in Williams Lake. Our primary objective is to help developers and their associates find solutions to historic resource issues. This includes conducting desktop assessments and field assessments, as well as general consultation in attaining Historical Resources Act clearance.

Role Description

This is a temporary role for an in-field Assistant Archaeologist with a base anywhere in western Canada. As an Assistant Archaeologist, you will be participating in archaeological impact assessments and/or excavations, and be away for extended periods of time (typically 10 days on and four days off).

Qualifications

• Comfortable working outdoors in various environments and weather conditions
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Anthropology, Archaeology, or working towards one
• Experience conducting archaeological fieldwork and laboratory analysis is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
