As a Security Guard, you will find yourself immersed in the vibrant and ever-changing world of Toronto Pearson Airport. The sense of anticipation, the constant flow of international travelers, and the bustling terminals create an atmosphere that few professions can match.

What does an Airport Security Guard do?


  • Monitor and respond to alarms, including intrusion alarms, fire alarms, and emergency systems.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed reports of incidents, observations, or daily activities.
  • Verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Work closely with other security personnel and airport departments to maintain a cohesive and effective security program.
  • Conduct regular foot patrols to deter and detect potential security threats, suspicious activities, or policy violations.
  • Maintain policy and regulations to ensure a secure and safe environment for everyone.
  • Report and document any unusual or suspicious activities or incidents.
  • Monitor and control access points, including entrances and exits, to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering directions, and assisting visitors and employees.


Qualifications To Become An Airport Security Guard.


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Available and willing to work a flexible weekend schedule.
  • A valid CPR-C/first aid certificate from a WSIB-recognized training provider
  • A current Ontario Security Guard License
  • Ability to achieve a RAIC pass.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • 1 year customer service experience
