Agile Project Manager (Contract Position)
Number of Positions: 1 Duration: 18 months
Location: Hamilton, ON, CA
Must be eligible to work in Canada
The Candidate must have relevant experience managing and implementing the Ellucian Banner 9 Student Information System in a Higher
MANDATORY TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should have experience in an Agile Project Management framework, and have experience running scrums and other relevant
methodologies such as Kanban will be an asset
The Candidate must have relevant experience managing and implementing the Ellucian Banner 9 Student Information System in a Higher
Education environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant must have:
• A University Degree/College Diploma or equivalent in such disciplines as Business, Commerce or a related field is required at the point of hire into
this position.
• Preference given to candidates with experience implementing Ellucian Banner 9 in other higher education organizations in Canada or the US.
• 8+ years of related, progressive work experience.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborate environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing large, transformational and Enterprise projects and complex multi-vendor environments.
• Demonstrated experience and familiarity with implementing large business transformation and managing related Organizational Change
Management and Design initiatives.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
• Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments.
• Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
• Strong familiarity with project management software.
• Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
• Technically competent with various software programs, such as MS Project, MS Visio, MS Office.
• Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively inter-
culturally with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
