We are actively seeking an Advisor – Environment to support the development and deployment of environmental protection activities for the entire Ocean Group. He will promote compliance with environmental and occupational health and safety laws and regulations. He will work actively with members of the HSE team and stakeholders at all levels of the organization of the operating unit associated with his mandate. He will also be called upon to support the implementation of environmental improvement projects based on the needs and his expertise.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

• Regularly visit and audit all work sites and construction sites in order to identify and participate in the elimination of potential environmental risks;
• Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
• In collaboration with the Coordinator – Environment, act as an environmental resource person for the entire Ocean Group and as a specialist for the HSE team;
• Collaborate in the identification of environmental training needs;
• Interact with employees, supervisors and managers to ensure an understanding of the reality and priorities in the field, issues and solutions that may be applicable to operations;
• Support the estimating teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into the assessment of projects and support the coordinators in developing prevention programmes.
• Assist managers and employees in identifying potential sources of environmental risks and associated preventive solutions;

Our Ideal Colleague Has

• Analytical skills.
• Customer focus;
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the environmental field;
• University degree in a field relevant to the position;
• Valid driver’s license (class 5);
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel);
• Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written (asset);
