On occasion you maybe asked to represent the Commission at provincial, regional or national meetings and working committees of various regulators.

Abilities to interface with Stakeholder Information Management software and processes, including analyzing data, communicating information, and reporting on client stakeholder engagement.

Knowledge and direct experience in engaging with Indigenous communities, including Indigenous history and rights, cultural protocols and norms, and Indigenous politics.

Knowledge of or experience in project development and community engagement.

A minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience in Indigenous and/or stakeholder engagement or related experience in resource development.

Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on working well within multi-disciplinary teams.

Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment.

Manage requirements and relationships with community and government officials

Manage contractors conducting groundwater monitoring or other site assessments

8 to 10 years of experience in a similar subject area

Complete all environmental regulatory reporting, and support internal reporting through the collection of data

Track all environmental permits for the site, coordinate amendments or new permit applications as required

Ensure all environmental risks are documented and understood, all controls are identified and verified, and routinely audited

Experience in working in the north - cariboo management, utilizing quantitative/qualitative analysis, modelling and adhoc reporting;

Interfacing with bear management programs and working with other wildlife programs and environmental assessments;

Ensure wildlife programs conform to short- and long-term program requirements and goals;

Manage technical consultants, including the development and execution of field and office-based scopes of work;

Review consultant developed technical reports on baseline studies, annual monitoring programs, special studies, and regulatory requirements;

Manage and report on project deadlines, completion, and budgets;

Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

Assist managers and employees in identifying potential sources of environmental risks and associated preventive solutions;

Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the environmental field;

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel);

Permanent job – 37.5 hours per week;

Paid vacations during the holiday season and anticipated vacation weeks;

Coordinate EMP implementation/E&R performance monitoring activities regarding environmental and/or socioeconomic and/or health matters with Site Construction Managers and/or Supervisors.

Oversee communications/the flow of information between field locations and the Project SHE Manager regarding environmental, socioeconomic, and/or health matters.

Previous experience in a closely related position.

Candidates should have experience regarding the environmental and/or socioeconomic and/or health field(s) preferably related to a construction or extractive industry project.

Knowledge of external project financing desirable.

Knowledge of (specific country) regulations desirable.

Excellent prioritization skills and ability to work on several files at the same time

Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience with audit mandates related to regulatory financial information, an asset

Lead the project and coordinate the preparation of work in line with OSFI’s assurance expectations over capital, leverage and liquidity returns

Help establish the schedule of deliverables, ensure regular and thorough follow-ups on the progress of objectives and contribute to their achievement

Basic knowledge of business management system

Student in environmental sciences and interested in working in the field of environmental management

Good knowledge of computer network PC: Windows, email, word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel), database (Access), and Internet browser.

Excellent verbal and written communication

Excellent ability to work in teams

Provide support to the management system programs to ensure regulatory requirements and compliance activities support pipeline operations.

Degree, certification, diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Economics, Environmental Science or other related disciplines.

Extensive knowledge of the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) requirements and processes.

Manage, track, resolve, and closeout regulatory compliance verification activities (e.g. audits) and coordinate compliance filings in a timely and accurate manner.

Effectively and efficiently manage regulatory applications, filings or submissions relating to operation activities.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory roles or equivalent.
