Job Description
Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). PMC also operates strategically-located facilities for crude oil and NGL storage, separates NGL from natural gas and fractionates NGL into pure liquid petroleum gas (LPG) products, including propane and butane.

Plains has an immediate opening for an Administrator in our Calgary corporate office. We are looking for a pleasant and professional individual who is keen to fill this key position within our organization. Reporting to the Manager, Shared Office Services, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of initiative and be comfortable working with minimal direction.


Responsibilities:


  • Support on-site facility and furniture maintenance duties;
  • Manage the distribution and cancellation of building security cards;
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail and ensure accurate and timely delivery;
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls;
  • Respond to all incoming requests regarding supplies and office services duties;
  • Place flower orders;
  • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing certified, registered, and insured mail;
  • Coordinate office desk assignments and moves;
  • Assist with the organization of corporate events;
  • Monitor and maintain supplies for employee common areas;
  • Respond to inquiries regarding postal charges and delivery options;
  • Other office administration duties as required.
  • Process expense reports and code invoices;
  • Provide mailroom support and administrative support to executive assistants as required;
  • Arrange ergonomic assessments;
  • Routinely checking and cleaning all common areas; and
  • Manage office supplies and stock/distribution
  • Primary contact person for office maintenance; and corrective actions as needed;


Qualifications:


  • Strong focus on customer service;
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task;
  • Ability to routinely lift more than 25 pounds; and
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong focus on being a team player;
  • Minimum education of a high school diploma;
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication;
  • Exceptional customer service skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Previous office administration experience and/or completion of a Business Administration Program is considered an asset;
  • Satisfactory background clearance (criminal), and reference checks.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion;
