Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Primary Location: Vancouver, BC
Job Status: Part-Time, Permanent

Founded in 1972, Primex, through its wholly owned property management subsidiary, Pacific Cove Property Management Ltd., provides rental accommodation to almost 3,000 families and individuals in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan. Our talented in-house team includes specialist in acquisitions, finance, development, construction, marketing, leasing and property management.
We are currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to join the team at our Vancouver head office. Reporting to the AVP of Accounting, this role will play a key role in accounting for multiple concurrent multi-family development projects for our expanding residential rental portfolio. What You Are Great At Doing
  • Compiling and preparing routine reports and summaries.
  • Assisting in quarterly and annual audits.
  • Identifying information requirements to contribute to the smooth operation of the company.
  • Entering financial transactions accurately into internal databases.
  • Posting and processing accounts payable invoices.
  • Analyzing financial information in order to identify discrepancies.
  • Working as part of a team to report monthly, semi-annual and annual financial information to various stakeholders such as management, investors and lenders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Preparing sales invoices and billings.
  • Supporting the accounting department by completing various administrative tasks.
  • Maintaining digital and physical financial records.
  • Reviewing and reconciling various financial data.
  • Processing deposits and posting cash receipts.
What You Need To Be Successful
  • Post-secondary education and training in accounting and finance.
  • Experience in MS Dynamics 365 or equivalent property management/development accounting software.
  • Financial and numeracy skills.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and a team player.
  • 2 years experience in an office environment.
  • Experience in property management or development industry, an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong command of the English language.
