Job Description
What will you do?


Schneider Electric Canada has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate/motivated individual to assume the role of Account Manager – The Home Depot Canada. This role within our Home & Distribution Business Division will be focused on managing and growing this critical account. This position is based out of the GTA area but will be national in scope.


The Account Management role will include a focus on;
  • Third party sales organizations that visit the stores on behalf of Schneider Electric to improve the entire customer experience.
  • In addition to managing the strategic nature of the account, managing the daily /regular client queries to ensure client satisfaction (lead point of contact for all customer account management matters)
  • Assisting with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Acting as liaison with cross-functional Schneider Electric teams including;
  • Marketing
  • Connecting with key business executives and stakeholders in order to maintain our existing business and grow the Schneider wallet share
  • Identifying new business opportunities (key component to this role)
  • Developing strong relationships at all levels within the Home Depot Canada organization, including customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Developing and executing a Strategic Account Plan for The Home Depot and adjusting the plan on-going as the business evolves
  • Forecasting, analyzing customer data and tracking key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and presenting the progress on a quarterly basis
  • Global Supply Chain
  • Communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring timely and successful delivery of our products and solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Customer Service
  • Product Development
  • Negotiating contracts, closing agreements, and establishing a timeline of performance


What qualifications will make you successful?

  • 7+ years of experience working with a large national retail client (Home Depot or similar) as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or other equivalent role
  • Ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Ability to travel nationally within Canada (up to 50%)
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
