Job Description
Ridgeline Games is focused on building rich narrative campaigns with memorable characters and powerful experiences all in the Battlefield universe. We are building a new studio in the Seattle area composed of leaders and talent with a vast array of AAA game dev experience. As we assemble our diverse team, all who have a voice in making great games together, we're looking for a healthy mixture of tempered veterans and young passionate individuals eager to make a difference.


Role Overview: You are an experienced 3d modeler, with both experience in hard surface and organic subject matter(You love building the best art in the industry!). You enjoy building rich worlds and may be contributing to architecture, modular buildings, vehicles, weapons, organics and hard surface set pieces! You have experience with production techniques and dealing with budgets while also focusing on the highest quality execution. You are an expert in PBR material production, enthusiastic about sculpture, and have deep experience with UV unwrapping and preparing models for game engines.


Reporting to the Principal Hard Surface Artist, you are familiar with using reference photography and concept art as your inspiration.


Responsibilities


  • Experience working directly with an art lead or art director to refine visual and quality goals as required for the project.
  • You can 3D model, texture and implement to a high standard inside of a game engine. This includes packing textures to specification and using and maintaining shared libraries.
  • Knowledge of at least one industry standard modeling package, a sculpting package and a PBR compliant texturing package.
  • You have an understanding of modeling, texturing, composition, color theory, design and lighting that we can see exercised in your portfolio – both in shipped game projects and personal work.


Qualifications


  • Shipped at least two AAA titles
  • Creative techniques for photorealism
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a prop and general 3d artist
  • Use of PBR and photometric textures

Us Compensation And Benefits


The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.


EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


BASE SALARY RANGES


  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):


º $95,450 - $141,800


  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):


º $89,200 - $141,800


  • Jersey City, NJ:


º $105,250 - $141,800


  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):


º $89,200 - $118,550


  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):


º $89,200 - $130,750


Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
