JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Java/Scala Developer, you will work on one of the world's largest social media platform which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. We are a self-organized team working in an innovative environment for our client!
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement and maintain pipelines that produce business critical data and efficiently using cloud technology.
• Accountable for writing code, conducts code reviews and evaluate existing data systems by ensuring its efficiency within the system.
• Updating and optimizing local and metadata models. Addresses area-level risks, provides and implements mitigation plan.
• Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products.
• Reports about area readiness/quality, raise red flags in crisis situations which are beyond their AOR. Suggests technical and functional improvements.
• Working with Project Lead, you need to prepare functional and design specifications in timely manner and get it approved from all the stakeholders.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Hands-on experience in data warehouse design, data visualization and data pipeline design and development.
• Have strong experience in ensuring the integrity and freshness of the data while working on Data Mart, as well as cost attribution frameworks for various multi-tenant platforms.
• Understanding of Airflow, Technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Presto, SQL, SparkSQL & Hive is good to have.
• Should be experienced in debugging the issues and able to write effective unit tests with strong OOP skills.
• Extensive application development experience including Java & Scala with ability to write efficient ETL pipeline code.
