Role: Senior .NET Software Engineer

Location: Remote (Canada, PST, Time Zone)

Duration: Long term

Main skillset: .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL and cloud experience (Azure OR AWS)

As an individual contributor of our technology group, this role is expected to work with the product management team to understand the requirements and manage the end-to-end development cycle from design to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must have Azure experience
• Plans and implements every process step as defined in methodologies.
• Designs, codes, tests, and documents Windows Applications, Web Applications, and Web Services.
• Utilizes established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, C#, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and MS SQL.
• Enhances existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing action plans. and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
• Creates new and extend existing operational documentation.
• This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.
• Participates in peer reviews and walkthroughs.
• Defines and enhances SOA frameworks and supporting technical documents.
• Possesses mature critical thinking skills, self-direction, and expert level troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in MS SQL.
• Maintains existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
• Investigates and develops skills in new technologies and software tools.
• Creates technical specifications.

Required Education & Experience:

• Experience building Microservices on Azure or AWS using Docker or other Containerization technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent field
• Experience building ASP.Net MVC or Web Forms based Web applications, Entity Framework or other Service frameworks
• Extensive experience in relational database design and development with MS SQL Server
• Strong experience with software design/development, with a majority of time focused on building large scale online applications on Microsoft Technologies
• Experience building WCF Services, Entity Framework or other Service frameworks.
