About the position:

As a Odoo Developer at our company, you will play a crucial role in the development of innovative projects aimed at simplifying the lending process for Canadians. Working closely with our existing development team, you will be responsible for creating and enhancing both back-end and front-end applications on a regular basis.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Write effective unit tests to ensure sufficient code coverage and maintain application quality
• Implement both back-end and front-end solutions using Odoo's Python-based framework
• Work on 3rd party integrations, particularly with systems in the financial and automotive industries
• Build and consume REST-style APIs and GraphQL for seamless data exchange within the Odoo ecosystem
• Collaborate with the back-end team to ensure seamless integration and functionality with other systems
• Create technical content for documenting JIRA tasks/sub-tasks related to Odoo development
• Develop and maintain in-house and customer-facing applications using Odoo CRM platform
• Utilize relational databases like PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval within Odoo applications
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers during the development process
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility for a consistent user experience
• Socialize JIRA stories/tasks you are responsible for with other team members

What You Should Already Have:

• Proficiency in JavaScript and front-end development, including modern JS frameworks (e.g., Vue, Angular, React)
• 4+ years of professional experience in Python and web development
• Bonus: Experience with responsive web design and grid frameworks for enhancing the user interface
• Bonus: Proficiency in CSS3 advanced features, including animations, transitions, and flex-box layouts for enhancing Odoo UI
• Experience with version control using Git and familiarity with GitFlow branching strategies
• Bonus: Knowledge of AWS services and serverless stack (SAM, Serverless, Containerization) for deploying Odoo on the cloud
• Bonus: Experience with unit testing frameworks like Pytest for ensuring code quality and reliability in Odoo applications
• Familiarity with Linux environments and server configurations for deploying Odoo applications
• 2+ years of experience working with Odoo, including customization and module development
• Strong knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL for data management in Odoo
• Bonus: Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra for specific project needs
