(a) Significant direct experience with delivering on large Business and Information Technology focused projects or programs

•8+ years of recent direct Project Management experience in managing IT business applications and infrastructure projects

•Proven experience in risk management and change management

•Proven experience in RFP, vendor selection, contract management, and vendor management

•Manages project resource estimation, planning, allocation to achieve project goals and benefits.

•Certificate in Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) is required (or PRINCE II equivalent)

LOCATION: Remote - Canada (TimeZone: CST | Partial overlap)

5-7 years experience preferred especially in the E-commerce and marketing space

JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)

HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $80 – $100/hr

ESTIMATED DURATION: 40h/week - Long term

Has worked in the digital product realm

Theoretical and practical project management knowledge.

Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, PMI, MBA) or equivalent would be an advantage.

Experience with relevant project management and/or ERP software packages.

Monitor and report on project progress to project management team and executive team.

Perform and lead the team on project change management.

Manage completion of deliverables from the engineering, design, fabrication and assembly, QA/QC, procurement, logistics and documentation departments.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Bachelors' degree and 5 years' marine industry experience.

Available to travel >20% time

High level of technical know-how in Marine service industry, preferably marine drives and automation systems, AC and DC power systems.

Customer Focused, understanding of how to navigate within large marine customer organizations

Ability to self-learn and operate autonomously

Demonstrate good time management skills to stay on top of your workload and the team members’ you are managing

Have agency Project Management experience working with Drupal and/or WordPress

Know when to push back on behalf of Kanopi’s best interests, and when to escalate situations to the attention of Management

Have the ability to manage the day-to-day delivery of engagements, risk mitigation, issue tracking, change management, and escalations

Gain a deep understanding of the clients’ web properties you manage to anticipate and recommend appropriate needs to clients

Have experience managing a web build project throughout its full life cycle

Reviews with Senior Management, any ongoing delays or potential future delays as soon as possible and develop potential mitigation measures

Review monthly report from PC prior to meeting with management.

Actively manages cash position (invoicing and payment, certification of completion, holdback collection)

Management of subcontractors and suppliers including processing all progress payments, dispute resolution.

Cost Control and Contract Management

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Develop project plans, including defining project goals, objectives, tasks, and resource requirements.

Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates on financial status.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.

Define, communicate and execute project management best practices.

Mentor peer and junior staff in best project management practices.

Align engineering project plans with other departments including sales, product management, marketing, manufacturing and purchasing.

Create templates, dashboards and tools to manage and execute Stage Gate projects.

Manage a portfolio of multi-disciplinary engineering development projects.

· Proven experience of management of business processes. (governance).

· Work with the Project Manager to support the overall project planning and progress towards agreed-upon goals.

· Supports Project Manager in daily team coordination.

· Document and maintain project plan, schedule and costs/budget including resource loading working with local finance department.

· Meet RBS and steering committee reporting requirements including format and timeline.

· Excellent communication and writing skills.

Experience in gaining major bids with joint venture partners, with proven management of successful infrastructure and construction bids

Experience with all contract types: Construction Management, Design Build, Hard Bid

Carry out all project management activities as laid out in the Project Delivery Framework.

Establish and complete specific project management plans incorporating Safety, Quality and Environmental plans.

Proven track record of successful commercial or institutional project management of major building construction projects in excess of $100 million

Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook, MS Project, Primavera P6, SAP, Electronic Document Management System, Bluebeam, Plangrid

Project management, product management, or program management. This role is much more hands-on and in-the-details than a normal operations role.

Taking a service offering from ideation to implementation

At least 5 years of work experience (post-graduation) in any industry

Experience in at least two functional business areas (operations, sales, product, etc.)

Obsessing over quality, rapidly iterating to build the best system

Taking risks, trialing new services, and learning from real-world feedback
