Licensed Maintenance Electrician Jobs

Canadian certification as an Electrician is required (309A, 442A or Red Seal)

Dual-ticket certification (Electrician and Industrial Mechanic/Millwright) is strongly preferred

Experience in a manufacturing environment and machine maintenance

Sound technical and mechanical aptitude coupled with knowledge on how machines work

Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Knowledge of Health and Safety practices is necessary.

Grade 10, plus two years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Perform skilled electrical work at the Journeyman Level in installing, constructing, altering, repairing, maintaining, and servicing electrical equipment and systems.

Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of B.C.

Perform maintenance and repair duties in a variety of areas related to buildings, grounds and equipment as required.

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a production/industrial environment with extensive experience in machine troubleshooting.

Ability to read, program and troubleshoot industrial PLC ladder logic (Allen-Bradley experience preferred).

Ability to install, commission and troubleshoot AC and DC motor drive systems (Parker and ABB experience preferred).

Experience diagnosing faults in electrical/electronic systems and equipment and repairing or replacing electrical and electronic components.

Possesses good verbal communication skills and can follow verbal instructions and written documentation related to the job.

$72,000 + Overtime (OTE: $90,000+) + Training + Excellent Benefits

2-3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or associated work.

Knowledgeable with Electrical Safety Authority

Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.

Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.

Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, multimeter, and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible.

Troubleshooting machine problems as they arise.

Maintenance Experience with Palletizers, Plastic Extruders, CNC Machines, Robotic Assembly, Warehouse Equipment such as Forklifts, Material Moving equipment etc.

Experience with PLCs considered an asset
