Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.
Skills & Responsibilities

• Inspect on a routine basis: electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
• Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
• Troubleshooting machine problems as they arise.
• Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.
• Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, multimeter, and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible.
• Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable with Electrical Safety Authority
• Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• 2-3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or associated work.
• 309 A license (Construction & Maintenance) or 442A License (Industrial Electrician)
• Experience working with tools.

Signing Bonus: New employees will receive a signing bonus of $500 after successfully completing their three month probationary period, and $1000 after one year of continuous employment. The employee must be on active payroll for the entire timeframe to qualify
