Licensed Maintenance Electrician Jobs in Ontario

Repair and capture detailed root cause and countermeasures of breakdowns and communicate effectively to management and peers

Must have 442A Certification or 4th Year Apprentice.

Must have minimum 3+ Years of Maintenance Electrician experience, specifically with hands on experience

Food manufacturing experience is an asset

Ensures effective and timely on-floor support to the maintenance department members, including regular, off-shift and weekend coverage as required

Assist in the on-going improvement of work order system

Excellent communication, negotiating, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.

A skilled trade certificate and/ or relevant industrial experience

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and working with the Operations, Quality and Engineering departments, maintain and repair facilities and production equipment.

Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements based on QS9000 Operating Systems

Ensure operational quality and efficiency targets are maintained.

Maintenance of Quality Operating Systems with respect to equipment maintenance as per ISO/IATF 16949 Standards

309A license and a minimum of 5 years industrial experience or 442A equivalent

Team oriented with great communication skills

Outstanding knowledge of cables, conduit, distribution equipment and grounding

Experience with control systems, building systems, fire alarms, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems would be considered an asset

• Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Regulations

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems/components, and how they operate

Knowledge of power distribution, PLC programming, Allen-Bradley PLC’s, voltages, speed controls, AC and DC drives

Knowledge of ABB robotics, PLC Controllers/Programming is an asset

Knowledge of blueprint reading and electrical and electronic control schematics is an asset

Knowledge of electrical code of Ontario is an asset

Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility fixtures, equipment, and electronic controls and systems, including motor control centers, schematics, power supplies, and automation.

Knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems/components, and how they operate

Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm

Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Canadian certification as an Electrician is required (309A, 442A or Red Seal)

Dual-ticket certification (Electrician and Industrial Mechanic/Millwright) is strongly preferred

Experience in a manufacturing environment and machine maintenance

Sound technical and mechanical aptitude coupled with knowledge on how machines work

Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Knowledge of Health and Safety practices is necessary.

$72,000 + Overtime (OTE: $90,000+) + Training + Excellent Benefits

Must have experience as a Maintenance Electrician

2-3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or associated work.

Knowledgeable with Electrical Safety Authority

Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.

Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.

Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, multimeter, and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible.

Troubleshooting machine problems as they arise.
