Commissioning Coordinator Jobs

Previous experience in a brown field commissioning environment is required.

Hands on proven experience in commissioning and start-up activities is required.

Previous experience in a nuclear facility is preferred.

Ensuring that all work performed is completed in a safe manner abiding by all safety programs

Modifying, repairing, testing, troubleshooting and inspecting electrical and instrument installations

Verifying installations, wiring and terminations of MCC's, control panels and junction boxes

Coordinate special testing requirements and operating procedures on the integrated system.

Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills, and strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.

Provide support to project teams where P&C complexity exists as a P&C subject matter expert.

Investigate, analyze, and recommend action for abnormal system conditions and major system disturbances.

Experience to perform the aforementioned accountabilities as dictated in section above and knowledge about the Commissioning

Provide administrative and operational clerical support to the Commissioning Management(Systems)

Assist with NCR(Non Conformances) Management and operational limitations management during T&C phase and tracking of open items.

NCR and operational limitations management during T&C phase.

Software delivery schedule management for intermediate releases.

Perform basic inventory control under the direction of Commissioning Manager.

Ensure project schedule remains aligned with company standard procedures (WBS, Progress Measurement, Earned Value Management, Schedule Management)

Collaborate with Project Team and Risk Management to perform probabilistic schedule analysis and develop ‘what-if’ scenarios

Eight or more years of related major facility project construction experience, preferably under a lump sum or unit rate contract structure.

Exceptional Microsoft Office computer skills in Word and Excel; ability to manipulate and analyze data in Excel.

Develop and implement plan vs. actual progress curves, including analyzing deviations from plan and reporting on impacts & mitigations

Coach, monitor and assist the Scheduling team as well as provide support to other leads and project controls team members

Ability to navigate cross-functions and create a good rapport with other teams (Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Fleet Support, EHS, HR, etc.);

Ensure work is performed safely according with GE standards and local requirements;

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience;

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Hydroelectric power plants, its systems and sub-systems or equivalent;

Excellent interpersonal skills, team work skills and autonomy;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and have good computer skills;

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Field Testing and Commissioning

High Voltage: Minimum 5 years’ experience required

Past supervisory experience would be an asset

Experience in substations preferred (i.e., 13.8kV and 240kV)

Experience with relay testing with various equipment; Omicron, GE, Manta, Meggar

Past experience with testing software will be beneficial

Certification as a Journeyperson Electrician or Journeyperson Power Systems Electrician required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Field Construction required

University Degree from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Proficiency in project planning and process management tools (MS Project, MS Visio, etc.).

Compiles business requirements, obtains approvals, and reviews design proposals justifications

Assists with contractual disputes resolution including payments within established schedule and budget requirements

Planning of the commissioning work on multiple projects and collaborating with the project engineering and construction management teams

10 years of previous experience in a commissioning role

Leading the commissioning team to execute commissioning work safely and efficiently

Execution of the commissioning activities in the field ensuring commissioning activities are executed according to commissioning plans and schedules.

The daily coordination with operations personnel and construction personnel in the completion of commissioning activities

Obtaining and organizing permits, equipment and tools required for the commissioning field teams to execute work

Planning of the commissioning work on multiple projects and collaborating with the project engineering and construction management teams.

10 years of previous experience in a commissioning role

Leading the commissioning team to execute commissioning work safely and efficiently.

Execution of the commissioning activities in the field ensuring commissioning activities are executed according to commissioning plans and schedules.

Journeyperson status in an electrical, instrumentation, mechanical or piping trade

Extended Healthcare plan (Medical, Disability, Dental and Vision)

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Field Testing and Commissioning

Past supervisory experience will be an asset

Experience in substation would be a major asset, ie. 144kV and 240kV

Experience with relay testing with various equipment; Omicron, GE, Manta, Meggar

Past experience with testing software will be beneficial (Omicron Test Universe, Doble M4000, AcSELerator, Seimens Digsi)

Completions & Commissioning Management System (CCMS)

Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning or operations

Pre-commissioning & commissioning testing requirements
