The Commissioning team is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for projects in the Western Canada Region. Reporting to the Regional Manager of Commissioning the Commissioning Engineer, working from project office and project site, will support commissioning proposals, planning, resourcing, as well as on-site execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning, and ramp-up of projects.


Responsibilities and Duties


  • Development of commissioning execution plans for project detailed design & execution phase
  • Development of commissioning test plans and procedures for project execution
  • Responsible for equipment turnover criteria from Construction to Commissioning
  • Development of commissioning safety deliverables
  • Coordinate with project team to align commissioning systems with engineering, construction, and procurement
  • Development of commissioning strategies for project feasibility phase
  • Responsible for technical input of testing and data collection for all commissioning stages of project execution
  • Responsible for system acceptance handover criteria from Commissioning to Operations


Qualifications And Skills


  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of design engineering codes, technical standards and site requirements
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and fit into a team environment
  • Pre-commissioning & commissioning testing requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Construction turnover, commissioning handover, and operational ramp-up
  • Willingness for on-site deployment
  • Completions & Commissioning Management System (CCMS)
  • Experience specific to:
  • Highly motivated and ability to function with minimal supervision
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning or operations
